Specialties
A line of specialized geotextile products protects and enhances certain properties of concrete structures or highways thereby extending their service life. Certain geotextile applications also make it possible to build environmentally friendly civil-engineering structures.
Applications :
Roads, concrete structures, sewer manholes and bedrock barriers.
Isolotex
Freezing conditions are a major cause
of roadway deterioration. The innovative IsoloTex
geocomposite
is ideal for insulating pavement made with frost-sensitive
materials, as well as for insulating conduits
of any type. IsoloTex reduces the need
for polystyrene panels: it delivers outstanding thermal resistance
as well as the mechanical and hydraulic performance
characteristic of geotextiles.
Drainaform
Drainaform is composed of a single layer
of textile with two different surface finishes.
One side acts as a filter to prevent the
fine cement particles from washing away
during drainage. The other side drains
and evacuates excess water from the surface,
making the finished surface stronger and
more durable. The membrane leaves concrete
exceptionally well protected against the
elements.
TexCure
Tex-Cure was specifically developed
to improve control over the curing of horizontal
concrete
surfaces such as bridge decks and viaducts. The
results: A harder, smoother surface with improved
resistance to water and road salt, which will last
longer through winter’s many freeze-thaw
cycles.
Tex-O-Flex
Frost-heave around
manholes and drain traps often does damage to
a city’s roads, leaving many
conceptual designers and contractors at a loss.
Tex-O-Flex 40-12 is the solution. Composed of a
geotextile and a PVC membrane laminated together,
this geocomposite’s smooth surface wraps
around the manhole and creates two separate units,
reducing surface changes.
